Ijeoma Genevieve Mbamalu
International Program Coordinator

Ijeoma Genevieve Mbamalu is a public health researcher with over 5 years of experience in research analysis, policy, and strategic communications in the local, national and international spheres.

In her capacity as the International program coordinator for Save Africa Concerts Foundation, Ijeoma provides leadership and guidance on policy and strategy for SAC programs globally.  She facilitates the establishment and consolidation of systems that track SAC’s responses and program efforts globally.  Furthermore, she brokers strategic partnerships between SAC’s national and international programs and tracks, monitors and evaluates SAC’s response to the epidemic.  Additionally, Ijeoma works with the US program manager for SAC in the planning, implementation and evaluation of HIV/AIDS activities in the US. 

Ijeoma has a Masters Degree in Public Health from Boston University’s School of Public Health and a B.A in Sociology from Union College, Schenectady, NY.



Christine Tyson
Communication Director

Christine Tyson has been in the entertainment industry for almost a decade, having worked every position from pre production to post and everything in between.    She received Her Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications, Television Production from Oneonta State University.  Christine has worked with such companies as MTV Networks, Crusing in the Van Productions, KMPearl Productions, HH Talent & Entertainment and recently Baker Management.   She is responsible for bookings clients on everything from National Commercials to Law & Order.  After leaving Baker Management, she branched out as an independent Talent Manager and Co-Owner of Increase Entertainment, where she serves as a constant liaison between actors, agents, producers, wardrobe, photographers, accountants, lawyers and casting directors.Currently she is the communication director for  Save Africa Concerts Foundation.  

 


Ekemini “Kimi” Ekere
Youth empowerment director

Is an undergraduate in Herbert Lehman college, pursuing a career in Speech language pathology/audiology and also psychology. She is an entertainer but also someone that has a passion for the community. She is the Youth empowerment director for SACAIDS and before she was a part of this foundation, she was the community service leader for Building with books USA and also the vice president of African student association Lehman college chapter.

She is a Youth empowerment director because she wants to be involved in the administrative aspect of the organization so as facilitate communication between the foundation and the community especially her peers.
She motivates youths to serve the community and also bring to their awareness that getting tested for HIV is a necessity and not an option. She has done some outstanding events with SACAIDS such as Beyond the Tears Humanitarian Award in Apollo theatre, Health seminars, Premiere of Lost Maiden in the United Nations, Health awareness on African day parade, Flim festival and many more.

Working under the leadership of Hardy Jimbes has been a great experience and she does not regret every single moment of it. Her heartbeat is to help the helpless, build up the weak and in all, execute God’s plan and purpose for our world today.



Idongesit “Idy” Ekere
US Program Coordinator

A native of Calabar in Nigeria, West Africa, Idy is dedicated to SACAIDS’s HIV/AIDS education, prevention and treatment mission, and has faithfully served as coordinator of programs since 2008. In this capacity, she maintains oversight on all US based programs, ensures compliance of projects to national and international guidelines, preserves open lines of communication between partners and clients and makes recommendations for improvement of HIV/AIDS services.

She is finalizing her undergraduate degree in Clinical Psychology and Research Methods with a special focus on the relationship between children and adults. In her spare time, she is an editorial model that has participated in fashion shows in New York and Los Angeles.
